Nawiri have been supporting the home-based learning of children from vulnerable households by providing them with essential such as school kits, learning materials, schools’ fees to children in-need solar lantern lamps in order to study at night like their counterparts who are privileged to access electricity.

It is very difficult for families to provide care for their young children when they are in extreme poverty or struggling for survival amid natural disasters occasioned by climate change and human wildlife conflicts in the region.
Therefore, developmentally appropriate early education is crucial to children’s cognitive and social development, and to their preparation for formal schooling.
Nawiri Child development programme has over years endeavored to improve caregivers' knowledge and capacities to adapt to the changing climate conditions as well as improving their resilience and financial inclusion through a raft of initiatives across all the sites.
